Searching for approval…

I was reading today’s devotional by Joyce Meyer on her website and that made me think about how much do I seek for people’s approval. I think that in some level we all do that, we want to impress and please our loved ones, husband, wife, kids, family and friends. We all want to be accepted and to have that feeling that we belong somewhere, the problem is that sometimes we start seeking for men’s approval and not God’s.

We can’t please everyone, not even Jesus did it we only need to seek for God’s approval because our lives are in His hands. Seeking for approval have everything to do with insecurity. We think and feel like we are less than others and that’s when we start to have problems in our relationships.

I used to be very insecure for been so hurt in the past, still am but I’m a lot better now and I keep moving forward. It’s like I saw on this IG post, no matter the velocity that you’re moving forward, what matters is that YOU ARE moving forward.

“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10)

  3. in my opium all people are born with that will (often a need for approval) on some subject. Those who get it most of the time are willing to share it, so those who do not get the much-desired “approval” are sad. But remember, every day are opportunities and we can never give up what we want. Ah! Honesty always!
